Hi Everyone!
Thanks for checking out my site and for taking the time to read my first post. I'm new to blogging and not quite sure what my niche will be yet. I've got a few ideas for future posts, though I'm open to suggestions if there's anything specific you'd like to see here.
Let's see... perhaps I should leave you with a little more information about myself. I'm the oldest of six kids. That was fun
I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Actually, I've always gravitated toward creative jobs. I remember when I was in third grade I had a notebook full of sketches for a clothing line. Not long after that, I tried writing an episode or two of Outer Limits (does anyone remember that show?). When I was barely a teenager, I wrote some cheesy fairy tales/children's stories. I had been reading old kids' books to one of my sisters and decided to try my hand at that style.
Then, of course, I wanted to be a singer. I wasn't very good at writing songs. And I had stage fright...
Nothing really seemed to click until I tried my hand at scripts. The first Spider-Man was coming out and I loved everything about it. I would watch all the interviews and behind-the-scenes stuff. I saw the movie and I knew that's what I was meant to do.
Not much has changed since then. I've dabbled in short stories, and there are parts about them that I love; things you don't get to do when writing a script. I have some ideas brewing for a children's book, and a webtoon in the works. But I think I'll always lean toward movies. Whether that's a good thing or not, time has yet to tell. Anyway, that's enough about me.
